The Ceres Gable House is a re-imagined Australian homestead, positioned inside a 700-acre stud farm. The property consists of three family residences, initially assemble inside the Nineteen Eighties. Tecture architects have been engaged to remodel the beloved family home to accommodate altering family desires and add some ‘luxe’ to the positioning. The design reconsiders the architectural language of the Aussie homestead, in a current context.
Ben Robertson explains the distinctive residence design as ‘a simple rectilinear variety that was paying homage to an Australian homestead.’ The short-term was to spice up the liveability of the home, by introducing a butler pantry, generous laundry, and a model new spacious dwelling and consuming house. This was achieved by a small extension, and clever re-zoning to reinforce inside motion, minimising the need for intensive developing.
The architects united the model new renovations and current constructions by rendering over the prevailing reduce up face blockwork, and ‘making a contrasting black colourbond extension to highlight the junction between the outdated and the model new.’ The model new Juliette kind doorways sit centrally, as the center and entry into this attractive home. Ben highlights how the home ‘watches over the grounds, whereas its cantilever appears delicate, as if hovering above the panorama.’
The graceful exterior is echoed internally, as a masculine, moody palette blends with the mushy curves of fixtures and fittings.
